Please rate the beginning of this novel out of /10, I'm an aspiring young writer..?

7/10. Seems like a good story line, the character isnt fully established yet and seems a tad over written. Adjectives are great, but too many sounds odd. And if he is a ghost, how do ppl look at him with pity?
