I am driving from NY to Alaska, what should i pack in case of an emergency?

I will pack 3 days worth of food and water an extra jug of gasoline, road flares, rope, flash lights, a knife, hatchet, some lighters and a siren, campus and map. is their anything i am missing in my bag of what ifs? I rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.
