Who thinks a child is an effective form of discipline?

I WILL MY KIDS!!!!!!! It is a good way to discipline when needed. My parents ed me and i turned out fine. I will also use time out and taking things away. But there are times when a kid needs a swat on the . I will never beat my children. That is wrong but has and will always be effective.
